No need to master the art of navigation, no need to observe the winds – our ship would be fully equipped: board computers, autopilot, radar, GPS, wifi… –

What if our machines broke down?

turning our ship into a drifting raft!

What if there were only the

beautiful melodies

of us shipwrecked sailors lost at sea?

Their songs take on a contemporary and varied sound: EDM (electronic dance music), singer-songwriting, folk and traditional music influences, improvisations… Inspired by the marine world, the melodies come to life through the computer-raft, which plays the key role in their music: it becomes a third person, an instrument in its very own right, the keystone of their stories.

HUMANOID Font small

is an electronic pop-art duo formed by singer Lola Payen and violinist Jean-Jacques Mailliet. Entirely built on original and unique compositions, their music questions the ambivalent nature of our relationship with technology, nowadays. Sometimes harmful, addictive, deafening, sometimes a source of progress, innovation and understanding of the world.
